Lutherie is traditionally known as the making of wooden, stringed, musical instruments, such as guitars, lutes or mandolins and violins. Front Porch Lutherie is continuing that tradition by also servicing and repairing stringed instruments with a focus on electric and acoustic guitars and bass instruments.
Front Porch Lutherie has taken a different approach to guitar repairs and service. Front Porch’s focus on playability, individualized service and dedication to quality is setting itself apart from the big box retailers. In fact, it led Front Porch from being a cottage service provided only to friends and associates to the opening of the fixed location in downtown Louisville at the urging of many local professional guitar players.
