Voice lessons: Want to sing that song you just can't get through? in Boulder, Colorado For Sale

There's usually one song that tempts a singer to seek out voice lessons -- mine was anything like Janis Joplin. I was 14 and didn't realize a lot of that was southern comfort but I digress....A lot of people want to sing "Bohemian Rhapsody" or anything by Pink, Chris Cornell, Whitney Houston, etc., but at some point in the song the voice gets tired, you start yelling the song instead of singing it, the notes are too high and you can only get through it once without having any voice for the rest of the day.
I have been teaching since xxxx and have taught every style to every age and voice type. I also have my Bachelor?s and Master?s degrees in vocal performance. The technique I use, based on the "bel canto" method (see Lamperti's "Vocal Wisdom") will enable you to sing easily, with no muscle, no need to strain, and no need to do a thousand sit-ups to try and control the diaphragm (which actually makes things worse). You will be very happy with the results.
Imagine -- no need to push air through, no need to strain for high notes and no need to feel like you've worked out for two hours after a practice session! The focus is on awareness, and allowing the brain to communicate to the vocal cords what it wants to do. The singer just gets out of the way.

The only requirement is that you hone your mind into paying attention every second you sing. Being in the moment and concentrating is so much better than physically exhausting yourself!
