Role Summary/Purpose: The Technical Support role is part of the Water and Process Technologies Analytical Instruments business and is responsible for the repair of customer instrumentation or refurbishment processes in:house, onsite customer preventive maintenance / repair services, as well as manage technical support calls. This position involves heavy customer interaction. You will have customer interaction for billing purposes, repair authorization, and purchase order collection.
Essential Responsibilities: This role will require an extensive amount of customer interaction through phone and e:mail support, must be able to handle difficult customer conversations.
As the Technical Support, you will:
:Perform all diagnostics testing, enacting repairs, performing test and calibration routines on the instruments to which assigned, observing all applicable safety procedures
:Complete Factory Service Repair 17 days.
:Be responsible for Turn Around Time for Customer Incident resolution within Par(: 10 days TAT) 90
:Be responsible for the refurbishment of complex parts, assemblies, and instrumentation
:Accurately account for all inventory transactions associated with the repair process
:Generate customer deliverables, i.e. repair letters, calibration certificates, etc.
:Collect payment information and generating shipping and billing paperwork
:Maintain familiarity with all test and calibration routines required in the service process, as well as procedures for issuing calibration certificates, and perform these routines as needed
:Be trained / certified on all products pertaining to Factory Service / Field Service / Technical Support Activities
:Provide extensive equipment support and general hardware and software support
:Keep up to date with all Factory Service Repair Quality Operating Instructions (QOIs) pertaining to this position, including all applicable safety procedures
:Understand Installation Qualification, Operating Qualification, and Performance Qualification requirements to meet customer requirements and expectations
:Demonstrate proficiency performing all test and calibration routines required in the Factory Service QOIs, as well as procedures for on:site services and Database management
:Maintain a clean and organized work space necessary to adhere to EHS standards and optimize work efficiency
