Qualifications: Planner What You'll Do **** Perform manufacturing planning tasks associated with the development of complex aerospace products. Responsibilities include: review of engineering drawings / specifications / Bills of Material to determine project material requirements; identify long lead items and fabrication needs; requisition of raw materials and components for development and production programs using internal system tools; utilize internal manual, MRP, or MRP II processes to plan project material requirements; execute material reservations, transfers, excess material searches and provide records for internal material audits using internal computer tools; plan, schedule and coordinate assembly, test and lab resources to meet schedule requirements. Determine sequence of manufacturing operations and develop appropriate work instructions. Monitor, analyze, & report performance to schedule of production & production support activities, utilizing information derived from material and production control systems. Property management & control. Perform other duties as necessary. What You Need Experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred. Familiarity with numerous mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes (fabrication, assembly, and test). Familiar with Government compliance issues and engineering drawings. Experience working in an ISO xxxx and ASxxxx environment preferred. Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office products and various databases. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Education: High School diploma or equivalent plus 6 years manufacturing experience or 2 years of technical school and 2 years or more experience. Security Clearance: Successful applicant for this position must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance. A current DoD clearance is not required to be eligible for this position, however a clearance could be required in the future. Relocation: Relocation: Relocation for this position is NOT Available Education: In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered.
